Bo Ma Goal: Help new coming UF Chinese students conquer language barrier and learn Florida traffic rules efficiently.

Two groups, totaling 34 new coming UF Chinese students, participated in the user study: each group 17 people. 1. G1/G2 Learn a section of traffic rules with TrafficAnnotation/Handbook and record learning time. 2. Both group take a short survey and a post-test. 3. G1/G2 review the section of traffic rules with Handbook/TrafficAnnotation. 4. Take a survey.

Using Chinese annotation and Chinese background knowledge to help explain traffic rules can improve learning comprehensive. But the result reflect no difference between the learning time. There is no significance between how prepared the user for the exam of two groups. Based on the survey Participants have positive attitude towards “TrafficAnnotation”.
