Who are Steel Engineering Ltd Formed in 1922 Based in Renfrew Longest established, most respected and largest Steel fabricator in the West of Scotland www.steeleng.com.

What do they do? fabricate bespoke, complex structures for the Energy Sector, Renewables, Oil and Gas and conventional Fossil Fuel Power Plants.

What do they do? Fabrication of deck handling equipment and site installation.

What are the opportunities? Drawing apprenticeship – now 2 positions the apprentices who will be based in the drawing office work towards an HND in Computer Aided Design

The pupil should be ? technically aware, understand 2D drawings (sectional drawing?) knowledge and understanding of computer drawing packages – AutoCAD (this is what they use), Inventor have good exam results in maths physics graphic communication

The pupil should be willing to learn to work hard mix well have a good report from the technical department have independence a good level of maturity What qualifications did the pupils need?

The pupil should be someone who does not want to go to University, but who wants to gain a qualification while learning through working Any useful points?

What are the opportunities? Craft apprenticeship – 5 positions

You do not need any formal qualifications You will sit exams through attendance at college Anniesland college You will need a good report from your technical department What qualifications do you need?

You do however, have to write down in your own words why you should be considered for the position sell yourself tell me why you over everyone else are you involved in a youth organisation?
