Tests and Essays We will go over frequently missed questions on the test and common mistakes on the essays.

This unit is going to include numerous arguments for justice. Before we discuss argument in more detail, define justice. Fill in the chart on page 139 with associations and influences of each term. Then, at the bottom of the page, create your own definition of justice. Now, brainstorm some issues of justice in society. Consider small-scale and wide-scale issues.

Your assignment is to develop an argument about an issue that resonates across cultures. You will choose a position, target audience, and effective genre to convey your argument to a wide audience. Your argument must include the 5 elements of an argument and effectively use a variety of evidence and rhetorical appeals. Some research may need to be done in order to effectively craft your argument; therefore, a works cited page and in-text citations are required in MLA format.
