Using the REWARDS Program Coaches can build an online roster by inviting players to join using e- mail. Once a player joins that has been invited by their coach, the coach can award that player with rewards badges, by selecting the player on their roster. Once the player is selected the coach scrolls through the rewards, which each have a description, and selects the appropriate award for the player. The reward immediately appears on the players profile. Recommendation: Set aside 30 minutes each week or two weeks to award players. Let the players know that you will only send rewards on these days.

Using the Skills Improvement Program Softball Canada developed a program to test athlete’s skill level in 6 areas of the sport of softball – fitness, catching, pitching, hitting, in fielding and out fielding. This program is intended to be used at the beginning, middle and end of the season, which will allow coaches to track their player’s progress throughout the season. A recording sheet has been developed to accompany each test, and as results are recorded they can be submitted electronically or by mail to Softball Canada. Once Softball Canada receives the results they will begin to compile them in order to determine national standards, which will then be published on the Triple Play website.
