WOL word of life live every present moment well “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.” [Find this verse in the Book of Jeremiah, Chapter 17, verse 7] From a comment by Chiara Lubich Adapted by the Gen 3 Center This is the most intelligent way to live! To put your life in the hands of the One who gave it to you! No matter what happens, we can trust him blindly. He is Love and wants what is best for us. This Word of Life invites us to live in constant communion with God. We are “blessed” when we do this, when we find joy and the fullness of life in the relationship with God. We confide everything to him because we believe in his love. We can share with him all our joys and sufferings, our plans for the future and anything that worries us. One way to express how much we trust him is to “work as partners.” Sometimes we are so overwhelmed by worries that we find it hard to do the will of God in the present moment. We want to be close to someone we love who is suffering or sick, but we can’t in that moment. Or we want to resolve some difficult situation, or help people in a country at war, or refugees, or those who are starving…and there’s nothing we can do right now. We feel helpless! That’s when we can trust in God – which at times can be heroic! We tell him: “I can’t do anything for that person or that situation, but I will do what you want from me in this moment. I will study well, work well, pray well, take good care of my little brothers and sisters, and I am sure that you will take care of H ow can we help our friends to find the key to happiness, which comes from giving of ourselves for others? That’s the question that started us off on a project that we called “An Hour of Happiness.” The idea is very simple. You have to try to make another person happy, at least for one hour a month. We started with people who seem to need more love, and so we offered to help them. We saw doors open everywhere! We found ourselves taking elderly people in wheelchairs to a nearby park, or playing with children who are sick in the hospital, or doing sports with special needs children. All these people were very happy, but just as the title of our project says, we were even happier! What about our friends we invited to be part of it? First they were just curious and then they tried it and found out that when you give happiness, you receive it, too! Now our project has spread to other cities in Germany and we want to spread it even further, so that schools, groups and organizations will start to compete with us in bringing more joy and happiness everywhere. (The Young for Unity – Heidelberg, Germany) that’s what happened to: www.teens4unity.net We are not alone, not even in dark and difficult moments. We can always trust him completely. untangling that problem, comforting those who are suffering, resolving that situation.” It means working in perfect communion with God, which means we have to believe in his love for his children, and then God will be in a position to be able to trust us, too! It will be even more evident that we are truly children of a Father who can do all things..
