2 Home Corner Restaurant Booking in, selecting food from the menus, preparing in the kitchen and serving to customers.

3 Meal of the Month Mexican Chilli and Jacket Potatoes Chinese New Year:- Chicken noodles and prawn crackers Pancake Day:- Pancakes with various toppings

4 Displays:- EYFS Autumn A walk outside to look at changes in autumn leaves was the inspiration for this display.

5 Displays:- Bonfire Night Why do we celebrate bonfire night? How to keep ourselves safe.

6 Displays:- Remembrance (empathy) Why we remember and the symbolism of the poppy.

7 Baking Fun For All Yummy buns, and biscuits to take home to share

9 Displays:- Diversity Equality and diversity

10 Display Work:- Make some Noise Stamp out Bullying Week Literacy:- Empathy and poetry by year 5 and 6 children

11 DIY SOS Volunteer Weekend 1:- Cloakroom Before.........

12 DIY SOS Volunteer Weekend 1:- Cloakroom After............... An amazing job

13 Christmas Hamper Fundraising Thank you for all your kind donations to make the hampers

14 New Toys Purchased With Fundraising Money The children had so much fun looking through catalogues to pick new toys.

15 Displays:- Empathy With Local Victims Of Local Flooding How can we help our local community?

16 Healthy Eating Breakfast week Big Breakfast week initiative Pancakes with various fruit toppings was the talk of the playground by SOS children.

17 Healthy Eating:- New Menus Create your own sandwich or bagel Ham, cheese, tuna, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, kiwi, banana, raisins

18 Fresh Fruit and Vegetables / Menus Purchased from Fresh in Brighouse Support healthy menu Dietician advice Children learn food groups and the importance of eating healthy food Children having fun preparing snacks

19 Home Corner Medical Centre A visit to the Opticians Dress up and health check up at the Doctors

20 February Half Term Holiday Club:- Shaving foam fun Getting messy but so much fun!

21 DIY SOS Volunteer Weekend 2:- Friday And Saturday Before.......

22 DIY SOS Volunteer Weekend 2 Sunday Evening After........... Dining/Snack Area

23 Reading Area:- Literacy/Phonics

25 TV Area:- Chill out Zone The new carpet, sofas and cushions look lovely

26 New Behaviour System:- Traffic Lights I MUST STOP THIS BEHAVIOUR IMMEDIATELY My behaviour is seriously affecting other people at SOS. I NEED TO SLOW DOWN AND THINK I can put this right and get back on track. IT’S GREAT TO BE GREEN I am a positive role model for others

27 New Behaviour System:- Traffic Lights I ALWAYS FOLLOW SOS RULES I WILL BE REWARDED FOR MY EXCELLENT BEHAVIOUR I WILL RECIEVE AN SOS SUPERSTAR CERTIFICATE AT THE END OF EACH HALF TERM I NEED TO THINK HOW MY BEHAVIOUR IS AFFECTING OTHERS I WILL BE ISSUED WITH A YELLOW CARD AND REFLECT IN THE PIT STOP I WILL CHANGE MY BEHAVIOUR STRAIGHT AWAY I NEED TO STOP IMMEDIATELY I WILL BE ISSUED WITH A RED CARD AND REFLECT IN THE PIT STOP MY PARENTS/GUARDIANS WILL BE GIVEN A RED SLIP AND WE WILL DISCUSS THIS AT HOME
