3 The present perfect tense of a verb states action that has happened sometime in the past. It is formed by using has or have before the main verb. Sarah has slept for three hours. We have practiced for thirty minutes.

4 Paul has attempted to jump off the high-dive three times. How can I say that my friend Paul has failed at jumping off the high- dive three times? What is the present perfect tense verb and helping verb?

5 How can I say that my family visits North Carolina? How can I say we’ve gone there since I was two and still visit there now? My family has visited North Carolina every summer since I was two years old. What is the present perfect tense verb and helping verb?

6 The past perfect tense of a verb states an action began and was completed in the past. It is formed by using had before the main verb. Sarah had slept for three hours. We had practiced for thirty minutes.

9 The future perfect tense of a verb states that an action will begin some time in the future and end at a specific time in the future. It is formed by adding will have or shall have before the main verb. Sarah will have slept for three hours. We will have practiced for thirty minutes.

10 How can I say the new carpet will be finished by the time the baby learns to crawl? What is the future perfect tense verb and helping verb? By the time the baby crawls, I will have replaced all of the carpet in the living room.
