Add Hooks and Introductions Topic Sentences Transition words Elaborate- details to make your ideas clear Conclusion section or statement Remove any sentence that does not stay on topic in your writing. “Squirrel” Move any sentences to a different paragraph if it fits better with the paragraph’s main idea or category. Substitute Exciting words Specific vocabulary Strong verbs Vivid adjective and adverbs A few simple sentences for compound or complex sentences

6. Edit Fix your mistakes! Use a red pen Remember CUPS- Capitalize, Usage, Punctuation, Spelling
