Aside from IP address, every camera have a unique MAC address which can be use to identify each IP camera Make sure this is set to ALL How can you tell if all cameras are on the network? But how can you identify your IP camera with the IP camera scanner (IP Config Tool) ?

Identify and select the IP camera, then login

For Optiview tech, use the assigned IP address range intended for pre-configuring cameras: 192.168.1.51 up to 100 Network address information, including MAC ID#

For Optiview customers, use the IP address range assigned by the local IT staff. If this on a small private network environment, check with your existing local router prior to assigning network address to an IP camera. Network address information

Run IP Config Tool Check if all cameras are listed Assign unique network address to IP camera(s) Flash cameras with the latest firmware

To flash IP camera with firmware, click on “Upgrade” button Click Upgrade IP Config Tool will show a list of IP cameras ready for reflashing

Click the Check Box on each camera to be flashed. NOTE: Make sure you chose the correct IP camera based on their identifications such as MAC address or IP Address

Click OPEN to bring up the file explorer and point it to the firmware file

1 2 Highlight the correct firmware file and click OPEN

Click “Upgrade” to proceed with firmware flash IMPORTANT! Wait until the upgrade status indicates that the upgrade process is finished on all cameras (if flashing more than one unit)

NEVER STOP THE UPGRADE OR DISCONNECT THE IP CAMERA DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS ! OTHERWISE, THE CAMERA WILL HAVE A PERMANENT DAMAGE ON ITS SOFTWARE. OPTIVIEW WILL NOT COVER THE WARRANTY.

Log in to IP camera through IE Go to “Setup” TAB Go to “System” sub menu Select “Import/Export” Import backup files Final Check of IPC settings

Enter username with admin rights to DVR menu Go to SETUP tab and select System > Import/Export Step 1 Log in to IP camera through IE Step 2 Go to “Setup” TAB

Under System Menu, click on > Import/Export - to bring up the Import/Export menu screen Click “Import” button and point file explorer to the correct backup file for this specific camera, select it and click OPEN. Wait until the flashing is done. “Please wait” message will disappear when finished. Step 3 Go to “System”

Digital Zoom – click the button in order to enable the function. Select any area to zoom in at the image. Drag your mouse to move on other area within the image. Snapshot - Click it to snap current video Manual record - Click it to record the video. Triple Snapshot - Click it and the system begins 3 snapshots at 1 picture/second

Video control - Click it to open video control interface. Left click mouse to set the video parameters (brightness, contrast, hue and saturation) Original size - Click it to view original size. It is to display the actual size of the video stream. Full screen - Click it to go to full-screen mode. Double click the mouse or click the Esc button to exit the full screen. Width and Height ratio - Click it to restore original ratio or suitable window adapted based on your monitor screen size.

NETWORK > Connection Displays all the virtual network port used for remote access These ports does not necessarily means that they will be the same port number to be used for remote (Internet) access of the DVR. A device can be using web port 8O on the internal network but will use port 8888 via Internet access. This is accomplished by using uPnP forwarding function. This is applicable when there are more than two devices on the local network that may need to be accessible via Internet and may be using a single statically assigned public IP address by the ISP. NETWORK > DDNS DDNS – translate a domain/host name into an IP address Account Information must be provided by the customer based on their own DDNS account profile. We do not provide technical support if they have problem related to any failure of the DDNS translation. Note: By default, there is no server type selected on this menu.

NETWORK > IP Filter IP Filter – filter the remote access to the IP device based on the lP address listed as “Trusted Sites”. Basically follows the concept of a “White List”; if the IP address of your computer or location is listed as “Trusted”, then you can access the IP device.

Make a list of all your IP cameras, either through Word Pad or Excel sheet during the initial setup. The time you will spent doing this list will save you several hours of troubleshooting and searching when something wrong happened one or more of your equipments.

Aside from IPC list, take s snapshot on all-camera view from the server and save it. It will give you an idea of the physical location of all the IPC ALL-CAMERA VIEW SNAPSHOT
