Write the notes in YELLOW on your notecard: You will have one of four types of writing pieces: argumentative, persuasive, narrative, or informative. Argumentative = arguing your perspective Persuasive = persuading someone to believe what you believe Narrative = You are telling a story Informative = You are giving information

Language Arts – Work Session 01/27/16 Schoolwide Writing Assessment – Tomorrow! Write the notes in YELLOW on your notecard: You will have TWO reading passages. You will have ONE B.C.R. (brief constructed response) and ONE essay. Stay on topic! Read the entire prompt and go back and read it. Most students only write about one of the two reading passages. Be sure to include both passages in your writing!
