When Adam & Eve sinned, they lost… – Their spiritual life – Their fellowship with God – Their ability to live righteously – Their God given purpose God had created a moral universe. – “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” – Gen 2:17-16 We were all born in Adam’s image - sinful – “All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, and each of us has turned to his own way.” Isaiah 53:6 – “All have sinned and fall short of God’s glorious ideal.” -- Rom 3:23 – If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. --1 Jn 1:10

JESUS HAS ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF YOUR SIN PROBLEM! – “The wages of sin in death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” --Rom. 6:23 God did this for us because He loves us and wants us to know Him. – “God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still separated from God by sin, Christ died for us.” -- Rom. 5:8

7. But we are saved by GRACE through FAITH… A moral choice was made at the base of a tree with death as a consequence. A moral choice must be made at the base of a tree with death as atonement.
