2. Game Concept  Creating a game concept or conceptualizing you game means giving a concrete shape to your ideas for the game. This process involves creating a mission statement, storyline, gameplay, and mechanics of the game.

3.  Generating an ideas is just the beginning of the creative process.  Listing your ideas  Setting the rules of the game  Finalizing the characters  Other activities

4.  A game concept is the elaboration of the game idea.  The final objective of the game or mission statement.  The plot or storyline  Various interactive and noninteractive elements of the game or the gameplay  The flow of the game or game mechanics

5. Joker  Assume you have to create the character of a joker. What characteristics does the joker have based on the terms good and bad. Please design a Joker as a team. 6. Mission Statement  A mission statement describes the main objective of the game, challenges involved in the achievement of that objective and the resources available for the players to help achieve that objective.

7.  The mission statement must answer three questions. 1. What is the objective of the game? 2. What challenges doe the game present to the players? 3. How will the player achieve the objective?

8.  To write a good mission statement, you need to ask yourself the following questions. 1. How should the player ace and feel in the game? 2. What role should the player perform in the game? 3. Does the player have a well-defined objective? 4. What are the obstacles in achieving the objective? 5. What kind of resources will the player have?

9.  A good mission statement is the benchmark to test all the ideas that you consider in the game.  The final version of the game must not have any element that goes against the mission statement.  Tips for writing a mission statement:  Brainstorm with others, they aren’t going to steal your idea, they may have some insights  Set aside time to work on the statement  Make every word of the mission statement count.  Avoid making a generic mission statement.
