The designs and proposals have been worked up with CHART who are Sefton MBC's mental health housing resettlement team, with Mersey care as the appointed service provider. HOLLY ROAD, LIVERPOOL The Nugent Care Society, a support provider for adults with diverse learning and physical disabilities, has asked cosmopolitan Housing Association (CHA) to assist in providing accommodation for approximately 11 vulnerable adults. These 11 adults currently live in a registered care facility owned and managed by The Nugent Care Society. Registered care no longer meets their housing need or aspirations, as Liverpool Social Services has confirmed they are capable of independent living. Their housing and support needs will be best met by specifically designed and adapted self-contained accommodation, within a safe environment where they can live independently but with varying level of support available on site. In order to assist in meeting this requirement CHA propose to convert Holly Road into 11 flats and provide communal support space. This housing proposal has the approval of Liverpool Social Services, Liverpool Supporting People, the service users and their families. Start on site 21.02.11 with Practical Completion anticipated 17.02.12.
