Secondhand smoke causes50,000 to 300,000 lung infections in children younger than 18 months of age. Secondhand smoke can produce six times the pollution of a busy highway when in a crowded restaurant.

It also causes more than 750,000 middle ear infections in children.

Within ten years of giving up smoking, the risk of heart attack falls to the same as someone who has never smoked. If you have quit smoking before the age 50, you have halved the risk of dying in the next 15 years compared to continuing smokers.

Smoking-related deaths in the United States amount to 440,000 every year. Most people that start smoking say they wish the would have never started. Smoking causes deaths in families. People don’t need to lose family. It happens to a family everyday.
