1. Of Mice and Men Choose your Literary Critique Option: How is OMAM a lesson on dystopia? How is the novel a social critique of society’s treatment of the disenfranchised? How does the novel make a political statement about American democracy? How is the novel a symbolic allegory, meant to teach morality?

2.  A paper that’s a minimum of two pages in length, typed, double-spaced, in 12 point Times New Roman font  It must include (at a minimum) eight citations from multiple primary and secondary sources.  Sources will be cited using MLA format.

3.  Answer the prompt/question in a sentence or two.  Make a list of eight (or more) events, quotes, or thematic connections from OMAM that prove you’re right.  Make a list of three connections from another source, like I Am Sam, Divergent, the John Steinbeck biography, the Buck Brannaman documentary, fairy tales, etc. These should also support your point of view.  Include one argument from the opposition, with your rebuttal.
