Astronaut Candidate Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree accredited institution in engineering, biological science, physical science, or mathematics Related professional experience 3 years of experience with progressive responsibility - or - 1,000 hours of jet aircraft pilot-in-command time Ability to pass the NASA long-duration space flight physical
