3 3 Operations Accomplishments FY 2014 Developed a Smart Roadway Technology Master Plan and Programmed Funding for Next Six Years Developed Operations Instructional and Information Memorandums Updated Tunnel Emergency Response Plans Awarded Multistate Corridor Operations and Management Grant with I-81 Corridor Coalition ($545,500) Awarded ITS Deployment Contracts for all 5 Regions In process of awarding the VDOT Infrastructure Protection and Resiliency Enhancements Program (VIPREP)

4 4 Operations Accomplishments FY 2014 Hosted the Connected Vehicle Pooled Fund Study and AASHTO Deployment Coalition at the SmartRoad to demonstrate VDOT’s Connected Vehicle Testbed Updated the Statewide Communications Master Plan for Freeway and Arterial Operations jointly with Traffic Engineering Division Transitioned TOC Floor Operations, SSP and ITS Field Maintenance Services for all 5 regions to the Statewide TOC/ATMS Contractor Stood up a 24x7 Operations Support Center at Central Office Held Traveler Information Long-Range Strategy Workshop Introduced Operations Performance Measures

6 Current & Upcoming Contracting Opportunities ContractStatus Southwest Region On-call pavement markings and guardrail Advertisement expected this fall, one for each District. Northwest Region Traffic Signal Maintenance Advertisement expected this fall. Northern Region I-395 Service Panel / Lighting Replacement (Phase II) UPC 105135 To be advertised October 2014 OR March 2015, pending project delay decision. VDOT Sponsorship RFP (SSP, 511, Rest Areas, etc.) Advertisement expected this summer

7 Current & Upcoming Contracting Opportunities ContractStatus Northern Region ITS CEI Services Proposals received May 22. Southwest Region ITS CEI Services Solicitation under development, advertisement expected this fall. Statewide On-call Traffic Engineering Services 1 RFP, multiple awards expected in July. Regional On-call Traffic Engineering Services 2 RFPs, multiple awards, interviews being held this month, anticipated awards in August/September.
