MENSTRUATION CONTINUED A females menstrual cycle occurs every 28 days. Usually last 4-7 days The first day of their period is considered day 1. Around day 14, is when the egg is released and the women is now ovulating. Ovulation usually occurs for two days

MORE… Would there be any signs that a women is ovulating? Why would a women wanting to get pregnant want to know when she is ovulating?

POINTS TO REMEMBER Approx. 12 Billion Sperm are produced a month in the testes. During ejaculation, the matured sperm travel through the VAS DEFERENS. Seminal Fluid is released from the SEMINAL VESICLE and PROSTATE gland. The fluid protects the sperm and makes them travel faster.

CONTINUED The sperm then travel out the Urethra. A teaspoon of Semen is ejaculated Approximately 300 million sperm are ejaculated but only approx. 200 survive. If ovulation is occuring in the female, only one sperm will succeed in fertilizing it.
