6. POINTS TO REMEMBER  Approx. 12 Billion Sperm are produced a month in the testes.  During ejaculation, the matured sperm travel through the VAS DEFERENS.  Seminal Fluid is released from the SEMINAL VESICLE and PROSTATE gland. The fluid protects the sperm and makes them travel faster.

7. CONTINUED  The sperm then travel out the Urethra.  A teaspoon of Semen is ejaculated  Approximately 300 million sperm are ejaculated but only approx. 200 survive.  If ovulation is occuring in the female, only one sperm will succeed in fertilizing it.
