2. What is the TEAS V? It is the Test of Essential Academic Skills, which evaluates an applicant’s general knowledge of math, science, reading, and English. Nurse educators determine items assessed. All applicants must take the TEAS. SON expectation: Conditionally admitted students have solid skills for determining the correct answer on timed knowledge-based assessments.

3. TEAS V Scores Qualified applicants must have minimum scores of: Reading 81.0% Math 76.7% Science 70.8% English 73.3%

4. Why are TEAS V scores so important? Applicants who earn these minimum scores and beyond are highly likely to graduate on time. Once admitted to the School of Nursing – all course exams are timed. Students must earn passing exam grades to progress with their class. Taking initial steps to prepare for and pass the NCLEX-RN® on first attempt.

5. If I take the TEAS V twice – which scores count? Answer: The attempt you earned the minimum (and the highest) scores in reading, math, science, English/Language Usage. Note: There is no cherry picking – selecting highest scores between the two attempts.

11. TEAS V Admission Procedure If an applicant takes the TEAS V two times between January 16, 2016 and August 31, 2016, the second attempt must be a different form. To ensure that is the case, please follow one of the below options for testing: If you are testing at a school site that offers the TEAS V, take both your attempts at that location. If you test at PSI, you may only test there once. Your second attempt needs to be at a school site location. Submit Individual Performance Profile(s) (page 1) with the application materials.

33. Details about the ATI TEAS Nursing school readiness for reading, math, science and English language usage will continue to be assessed. Applicants taking the test on or after August 31, 2016 will need to use the sixth edition ATI TEAS study manual that can be purchased on the ATI online store. The new manual is now available, and the practice tests will be released in spring to accompany the study manual.online store

34. Minimum scores are required for each subject and these scores will be reported the same as the TEAS V: –Reading81% –Math76.7% –Science70.8 –English73.3 Combining scores from attempt one and two will not be considered.

35. ATI TEAS Applicants may use a four function calculator for the math portion. These calculators will be embedded within the exam. The test structure will remain the same with 170 questions with 20 pretest items. The subjects assessed will also remain the same. Applicants have 209 minutes to complete the test.

36. ATI TEAS The ATI TEAS will be similar in difficulty level when compared to the TEAS V. Test questions have changed to reflect the changes in both nursing and curriculum.
