Mission Statement 2 Established in 1992 by Dov Lautman, President of the Manufacturers’ Association of Israel Mission Statement Ta’asiyeda, the educational arm of The Manufacturers Association of Israel, specializes in the application of scientific and technological knowledge commonly used in industry to Israeli society in general and to the educational system in particular.

Goals 3 We strive to reach the greatest possible number of young people, with the aim of promoting the values, culture and work ethic of Israeli industry. motivating them to pursue a technological education and enabling them to develop both personally and professionally in a creative, innovative industrial environment.

Ta’asiyeda in Support of Educational Programs 4 More than 400 industrialists and industrial employees enroll in Ta’asiyeda's educational programs every year. Approximately 200 industries throughout Israel provide support for research and other projects while hosting students and teachers on tours of their factories.

Summary of Activities during the past school year 5 Summary of Activities during the past school year: Tasiyeda worked with three target populations: 230,000 students from elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools 150 teachers, including many from technological school systems 120 principals in our unique mutual-mentoring program.

Adult education programs 6 Further education and refresher courses for teachers of technological subjects, held at industrial plants: three groups, 120-hrs a year Further education and refresher courses for junior high school science and technology teachers, held at industrial plants: four groups, 30 hours a year A specialist course in innovative programs for three groups of teachers Six mutual-mentoring forums for school principals and Industrial leaders One-day workshops for supervisors

One day workshops 7 Ninety-minute workshops on a wide range of subjects and issues including, among others: Israeli Industry Flammable materials Chemistry in industry Environment, Sustainability and Consumerism The manufacturing process Gas in Industry Gender and self-empowerment Simulating factory management

Programs for students during the past school year: 8 During the past year 470 courses were conducted on the subjects of entrepreneurship and industry. 4000 one-day workshops were held all over the country. Hundreds of programs were organized and implemented in collaborative efforts between students and industry.

Our Educational Staff 9 Each year we employ close to 100 students with experience in the field of education. The students attend our two-week training course, where they are divided into 15-member groups with an educational coordinator assigned to each group. Using our computerized evaluation and control system, the coordinators provide feedback on a daily basis.

Premium Entrepreneur Course 10 Our premium entrepreneur course introduces students to the industrial manufacturing process, how new products are developed from initial concept to product design and prototype. The course is conducted in full cooperation with an "adopting" industrial plant. Workers employed at a variety of jobs in the factory meet with the students and explain the nature and importance of their work. Students have the opportunity to understand how the industrial world works in general, together with the operations of a particular factory.

Courses for young inventors in support of a green world 11 This course enables students to experience the industrial process, from initial product idea to development of a model. The course focuses on environmental quality, from the selection of materials that meet design requirements through the production process.

Young Inventor for a safe world 12 This course enables students to experience the industrial process, from initial product idea to development of a model. The course focuses on product design, with emphasis on safety in home, school, city and national environments

Young industrial park developers 13 An introduction to the concept of industrial park design. Students learn the importance of the mutual relationship between environmental issues and industry, focusing on sustainable industry for the future.

Community applications of Electricity for Young Entrepreneurs 14 The students learn about environmentally friendly “smart homes” that reduce the consumption of electricity. They visit a building in the community, study its needs and then redesign it, using new "futuristic" technologies that minimize the demand for natural resources.

Hi-tech and Robotics for Young Inventors 15 The students are introduced to the world of hi tech and robotics, where they learn about the use of robots in the areas of security, medicine, aeronautics and space, leisure time activities, etc. The students investigate, develop and present new ideas for robotic applications.

Inventing Together 16 Tasiyahad (working together in Hebrew) a course with the cooperation and support of the Shalem Foundation. This unique course brings two very different populations together: students with special needs join "regular" high school students in designing a new product. The course has two goals: to give the students a chance to interact and to bring all of them closer to the industrial manufacturing process, with its boundless room for creativity and innovation.

Marketing concepts 17 A course that guides and develops creative thinking for marketing, public relations and advertising. The students create a campaign to promote socially important values.
