Why is Art Created? Aesthetics- visual appeal and pleasure Moral-Ethics-depicts people and behaviors considered noble and good (different cultures) Spirituality- connect people with supernatural forces or religion History- important people, places and events Politics-tool of persuasion or propaganda

Why should I care why Art is created? Knowing why an artwork was created can help you gain a better understanding of the artist as an individual and of the culture within which the artist worked
