Recap……Poster You have provided a definition of what is a multidisciplinary team. You have also considered who makes up a multidisciplinary team in your setting and why this is important and provided an example of how a team can support a child.( MU2.9- 1.1)

Partnership Working.( MU2.9- 1.2) Make a list of services that we may use to help us meet the needs of the child: Children’s Centre(Integrated Children’s Centre) Health Clinics Psychologists Youth Development Service Voluntary Organisations e.g. Barnados

Multi Agency Panel( Team around the child) All children are supported to have their individual needs met on a day to day basis, however some children require more support. Therefore a team of professionals from organisations will meet to decide how best they can support the child and the family. A team leader will be assigned to assess, plan and evaluate the care package and progress being made.

Let’s think about What children and families may require additional support and why is this important? How and why are referrals made to different organisations ?( 2.6) Why is early intervention so important? Consider ECM in your answer

Task In order to complete this task: 1.1- Explain why working in partnership with others is important for children and young people 1.1- Identify who relevant professionals would be in own setting( Include your poster ) 1.2 AND produce a leaflet of what partners/organisations could you call upon in a childcare setting. Provide an example of how and why you may need their help in meeting the needs of the child. 2.6- Why and how are referrals made to different agencies/organisations?
