5. MES PU and Degree College Started in 1956-57 with a student strength of 68. Science courses started in 1962 The aim of this institution is to provide value based education at affordable cost and to strive for the cultural growth of the student. The college celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1982 and its 40th year of meaningful functioning in 1997. As a premier institution, MES has been imparting quality education for the past five decades. Has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers to motivate the students and contribute to their overall development.

6. Academic achievements.. MES has bagged 5 out of 10 ranks in the university in BA/B.Sc and B.Com courses in the current year. KCET—2 nd Rank (NEHA H.V), 5 th rank in state PU Board {Medicene, ISM, B.Sc [Agriculture] and Veterinary Science} 3 rd rank in B.Tech –SURAJ.

Future plans To make MES a center for excellence in applied sciences To upgrade MES as a deemed university To promote research in basic sciences, gearing up to get products and to serve as a service sector To provide job oriented courses in sciences and commerce disciplines. To start a research center, enabling young researchers to pursue Ph.D/ M. Phil courses To start a research journal, in which college student can publish their findings.
