2. My cat My cat is not one of those devil, soul sucking, skin scratching cats that hate to be petted and loved MY cat is just like a dog without taking it out on walks and eating bones. My cats name is actually Mashka and we named he that because it’s a Russian name and it suits her very well since my family is Russian, her name was used to be Selyn but it was too Canadian so we changed it. Mashka LOVES TUNA and always seems to have something to tell either its because her food bowl is empty or she just has a good story about that bird or our neighbors cats that she wants to destroy because Mashka is a human person not dog person or cat person.

3. The beginning of petdom part 1 The story of How I got Mashka is full of action, tears, and cuteness. It all started of when my dad left to work in Calgary and a few months later my mom came in the room and asked me the most surprising question and it started of like this " Alina... do you want a cat" I thought that she was joking and I simply said "sure does it come with an elephant " because every time I asked for a dog, cat, bird, hamster, bunny, even a rat she would always say that one word us teenagers would pray at night for our parents not to say and it was the word no so of course I was surprised and my mom told me she wasn’t joking and thought I was mature and responsible enough to take care of a living thing other then my sister and of course I said yes and that’s when it started my way to owning a cat I never had a cat so this one would be my first. I began watching YouTube videos about how to hold a cat properly, what to get for a cat, how to clip its nails, and even a video of when to change the litter box.

4. The beginning of petdom part 2 I started to look for cats on kijiji, and craigslist first, figuring out I could get one cheaper then a cat at a pet store. I first thought that my family and I were going to get a kitten since they are cute and we could create a bond early but later I realized it would be much harder to take care of the kitten and you would have to litter train it and get its shots and what if the kitten grows up to have a different personality so that’s when I decided I want an adult cat that’s already litter trained and has a good personality like a cat that is friendly and likes to be petted and picked up because me and my sister are very hands on but also very careful and know what we are doing. One day I was going through google and found a cat shelter website I visited it and went to the gallery were I saw a sign that said kittens and another sign that said cats I clicked on the cats and the first cat I saw I fell in love with she was a 1 year old female tabby cat named Selyn I read the description and she was everything I ever wanted in a cat she was nice, never bite or scratched anyone, she was very chatty and loved attention I also found out that if you get a cat it already comes with shots and she was already spayed so we emailed the owner and she told us everything to get for the cat and arranged a meeting to fill in some documents and give in the money which was 140$ then pick up the cat. So the next week after I found out about mashka we went to shop fir a cat bed,, food, cat toys, a cat carrier, and a litter box we went to almost 5 pet stores to get everything we needed then the next day we picked up the cat and drove home "peacefully". After that a year passed and now Mashka is part of the family.

5. My cats hobbies My cat is very special she likes everyone to get a turn petting her and sleeping with her she is very lazy but she has those times were she likes to just get up and run for 10 seconds then stop and go to sleep. Her favorite sleeping position is on top of a person when their sleeping the reason why is maybe because she doesn’t like to be alone maybe she was alone until the shelter found her because she used to be a stray and didn’t get along with any other cat. Mashka loves to eat tuna straight out of the can and if she could she would live off of tuna. I do favor her because she is my first cat I brush her twice a day and clip her nails once a week because a pretty cat needs her manicure and we want to make sure she doesn’t scratch up the couch or hurt anyone not that she ever did I just don’t want to risk it I also give her 2 options for food her hard food (chicken flavor) or canned food sometimes its tuna, chicken, turkey, or salmon. She loves to lay on top on my homework and go to the washroom with me which is kind of weird but I never feel lonely and she never feels lonely too I hope.

6. Special moment I remember that one time when I left her catnip out on desktop and I didn’t notice because I was cleaning my room especially my counter where I hid the catnip. I had to go to the kitchen for a few minutes to help my mom cook and once I came back their was a ripped open bag that had to be full of catnip on the floor and around the bag where spots everywhere which was catnip and she was just laying under my bed looking like she regretted everything that happened in the past maybe 5 min.
