1 Warm Up, May 16 th In your journal, list out 1-2 expectations you have for this series of presentations. List out 1-2 questions you may have.

2 Learning Targets I can give my presentation to my peers in order to practice for presenting to the boards. I can thoughtfully attend to my peers’ presentations by preparing questions to ask them about their senior projects. I can assess my peers by sitting on the “mock board” and utilizing the handouts to guide my feedback.

3 Lackland’s Expectations (1) All student presenters are to be prepared on the date of their chosen presentation.  Notecards  Visual aides  Technology dress Six students per class will sit on our “mock board.”  Each student will sit three times, assessing different things each time. The day after they present (or earlier), student presenters will receive feedback from me, and also feedback from peers.

4 Lackland Expectations (2) In lieu of taking notes on the presentations, students not presenting and not on the board will write three questions to ask each presenter. I will check these lists of questions when I do the next journal check.  All students will listen closely to ALL PRESENTERS and avoid being rude stinkers. On days when no one/few students are presenting, the class will bring with them their selected books from our independent reading unit.
