Warm Up, May 16 th In your journal, list out 1-2 expectations you have for this series of presentations. List out 1-2 questions you may have.

Learning Targets I can give my presentation to my peers in order to practice for presenting to the boards. I can thoughtfully attend to my peers’ presentations by preparing questions to ask them about their senior projects. I can assess my peers by sitting on the “mock board” and utilizing the handouts to guide my feedback.

Lackland’s Expectations (1) All student presenters are to be prepared on the date of their chosen presentation. Notecards Visual aides Technology dress Six students per class will sit on our “mock board.” Each student will sit three times, assessing different things each time. The day after they present (or earlier), student presenters will receive feedback from me, and also feedback from peers.

Lackland Expectations (2) In lieu of taking notes on the presentations, students not presenting and not on the board will write three questions to ask each presenter. I will check these lists of questions when I do the next journal check. All students will listen closely to ALL PRESENTERS and avoid being rude stinkers. On days when no one/few students are presenting, the class will bring with them their selected books from our independent reading unit.
