4 Be Still Psalm 46:1-3 – Take refuge in God – Troubles of life (Jam. 4:14; Job 14:1) – God is present, available, and able (II Chron. 16:9) Prayer (I Peter 3:12; 5:6-7) Way of escape (I Cor. 10:13; Jam. 4:7-8) Repent (Psa. 38:4, 18)

5 Be Still Psalm 46:4-7 – God’s dwelling place is unmovable – Israel and the temple at Zion Representative of God’s presence (II Chron. 6:18-21) – A permanent kingdom (Dan. 2:44; 7:14) Gates of Hades shall not prevail (Matt. 16:18) Unshakeable (Heb. 12:22-24, 28)
