Group 1 (pages 181-186) They talk about Dr. Rank; he’s ill; has consumption of spine Nora talks to Dr. Rank of her past more than her husband (184) Mrs. Linde thinks Nora borrowed money from Dr. Rank Nora distressed, wants to “get clear of this other thing” Wonders if you get bond back once paid off

4. Group 1 (pages 181-186) Wants to “tear it into little pieces and burn it” Mrs. Linde senses that something has Nora upset and won’t leave until they’ve talked it through

Group 2 (pages 186-190) Torvald scolds Nora (186) Nora asks Torvald to let Krogstad keep his job at bank He plans on giving Krogstad’s job to Mrs. Linde Nora says to keep Krogstad for Torvald’s own safety; Krogstad writes for newspapers and might publish slander, which is what happened to Nora’s father

Group 2 (pages 186-190) Torvald can’t keep Krogstad b/c bank already knows of his plan to fire him; if he does any different they will know he was influenced by his wife Krogstad annoys Torvald by using his first name at work Nora calls that “petty” reason to be annoyed Torvald gets annoyed at Nora and dismisses Krogstad, through a letter, as retribution

7. Group 2 (pages 186-190) Torvald says he is man enough to take on any trouble himself Nora says he would never have to Torvald tells her to practice her dance
