Research Question and Hypothesis
How does light intensity affect the seed germination? Our hypothesis is that the stronger the light the larger the plant will grow because it will give it more energy and give it more fuel than the plants with a small amount of light intensity. We think the sixty watts light bulb will make the plant grow the largest and fastest because its the highest intensity light bulb

Variables Independent Variable - The Light Intensity or how strong the light is. Dependent Variable - The plant growth. Control Variables - Water, Soil and, the container

Experimental Design Materials: 5ml water 2 cups of soil 10 seeds per container 5in ( light) away from plant Seeds: Sunflower seeds. water ( 5ml) soil ( 2 cups) 3 Containers ( 10 seeds in each) light ( 5ins. away from plant) time when we water plants( at 10:40)

Conclusion Our hypothesis was that the plants with the highest light intensity would grow the tallest compared to plants exposed to only natural light. Based on the data we have gathered we have found our hypothesis to be correct because the plants under the 100 watt light bulb grew taller by an average of 2.5 inches more than those exposed to natural light
