UTRGV Online Scholarship Application Types of Scholarships via this application UTRGV Endowed Scholarships Coca-Cola First Generation Scholars Program (4 year renewable, valued at $24,500) VAMOS/UTRGV Endowed Scholarship Program (4 year renewable, valued at $10,000) Students must be admitted Deadline: April 15, 2015

UTRGV Scholars Program Description: 4-year renewable scholarship offered to new entering freshmen Student must be admitted to UTRGV Scholarship valued at $20,000 ($5,000 per academic year) No application is needed, students will be selected on a competitive basis

UTRGV Housing Scholarships Description: 4-year renewable scholarship offered to new entering freshmen Student must be admitted to UTRGV Scholarship valued at $12,000 ($3,000 per academic year) No application is needed, students will be selected on a competitive basis

UTRGV Entering Freshmen Gateway Scholarship Description: One Time Award Award varies from $1000-$3000 Student must be admitted to UTRGV No application is needed, students will be selected on a competitive basis

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

SUMMER REGISTRATION Summer Admitted students to UTB or UTPA No Summer Orientation. Admitted students must have been assessed in all 3 TSI areas. Admitted students will be contacted by Academic Advisement and advised on summer registration. They may register into regular courses if college ready, otherwise they will be placed in JumpStart Program for Summer II at UTPA. Students will be contacted by Email and Phone and given the option to set up an advisement appointment if they would like to come in person.

UTRGV New Student Orientation Eligible to attend a UTRGV Orientation Admitted to UTRGV for Fall 2015 semester Have been assessed in all 3 TSI areas and MUST be college ready. Students will be invited to attend a UTRGV Orientation and reserve online. Students admitted to Fall 2015, assessed in all 3 TSI areas but NOT college ready will be given the option to begin in Summer II under the JumpStart program.

Program Goals: Affirmation, Affiliation, Confidence and Relationships Led by our Student Orientation Leaders. The program establishes a student connection with a small group setting: a driven student-centered approach. Our average students per leader ratio is 22:1. New Student Orientation will provide the essentials students will need for a smooth college transition. Students will meet new friends, learn to navigate through our campuses, meet with an academic advisor, and register for classes.
