Executive Team Peter Catana President “At Huron Creek Developments, we assure our customers of the highest quality of work, conceived and developed and then implemented in an environment of quality and care. You can trust a Huron Creek home because we believe that excellence rests not on bricks and mortar but on the strong foundation of our committed staff, expert trades and quality suppliers.” Peter strongly believes that if it is not something he would accept in his home then he will not accept it in his customers home. This is instilled in the culture at Huron Creek Developments. Rick Martins Vice-President As Vice-President, Rick is responsible for Design, Construction, and overall operations. Rick has been in the building industry since 1989, and his exposure to all aspects of the residential building industry enables Huron Creek Developments to continue to be an innovative industry leader. Rick’s education includes an Honors Degree, PHED from Brock University and his background includes experience from the Financial Industry. Rick brings a vibrant, entrepreneurial perspective to every business challenge and his passion delivers more than simple home construction – only true holistic, building science solutions will do.

Executive Team Carlos Da Silva Production and Land Development Manager As Production and Land Development Manager, Carlos is responsible for preparation and overseeing the development program for residential plans. He will manage the development process from raw land to post construction and completion of our communities. Carlos comes from a family of homebuilders and has been involved in the Construction industry his entire life. Carlos’ Education includes a Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology and Certificate in Construction Management from Conestoga College, as well as studies in Fire Safety at Seneca College. Joanne Amyot Manager of Administration & Property Management Services Joanne will oversee all administration requirements along with managing our income rental division. Joanne brings a diversified portfolio of 25+ years in corporate management and administration which is currently being enhanced with her studies in property management. Joanne attended Canadore College where she specialized in Medical & Pharmacology Administration.

What is inclusive living? Webster defines it as including everything What is everything? For today we are talking about three critical aspects 1.No step entry (at least one per dwelling) 2.Main level minimum doorway width 36” and hallway of 43 ¼” 3.Main living level has an accessible half bathroom with min 1500 mm turning radius. ^Inclusive Living

Wow that seems like a lot of work -True, but a little planning can go a long way -The site I have been speaking of will have 9 complete VisitAble units. We have pushed ourselves to further incorporate adaptable and accessible features. Let’s take a look at the floor plans.

In conclusion where there is a will there will always be a way. Inclusive living is about allowing people to have the choice to fit into society with as little difference as possible. We are all able people that have been blessed with many skills and talents. If we put our able body and able mind into working on the challenge of inclusivity - we can achieve VisitAble living. It is time to change the conversation, we do not need to legislate and regulate as we have enough bureaucracy – we should work towards achievable platforms that help our society become more inclusive.
