BLOW & GO GUIDELINES
20
Context behind the decision Joint decision by 4-H, FFA, and State Fair Successfully implemented with 2015 Showmanship Mainly a space issue 1220 stalls in the beef barn 1080 head entered last year Limited room for tack, supplies, feed, as it was No longer able to put chutes on the west end of the hog barn
21
BLOW & GO GUIDELINES Context (cont.) Two options Restrict entry limits further Reduce the need for additional tack and supplies Other reasons in the decision-making process Could help to reduce cost to families Speed up loading/unloading process Did not feel it would change the outcome of the show and/or influence quality of animals exhibited
22
BLOW & GO GUIDELINES N. GROOMING OF LIVESTOCK: Preparation and grooming of an animal should be the primary responsibility of the State Fair exhibitor; however, assistance may be provided by other State Fair youth exhibitors and/or immediate family members.
