What is peer mediation? Peer mediation is a service that students can use to resolve conflicts with other students. It gives the students an opportunity to be more independent and solve conflicts in a responsible manner.

Who is eligible to be a peer mediator? 4 th and 5 th grade students who complete an application with a letter of reference and possess necessary qualities to perform the duties of a peer mediator

When and where is peer mediation? Peer mediators meet during lunch/recess once per week Days and location TBA depending on the number of applicants

How does peer mediation work? What are the steps involved in mediation? Getting each side of the story Eliciting feelings from both sides Brainstorming solutions Compromising to make an agreement Signing an agreement
