He used film negatives as well for all forms Favorite Subject: Elemental landscapes, sculptural nudes, and everyday objects How: Ed got his first camera from his father, and later in life he went back to Illinois College of Photography then moved to LA and got a job as a retoucher. After a few years he opened his own studio Techniques: Early on he used multiple techniques all in the darkroom. He worked shooting portraits in his studio. From here he moved to stronger more out of the box pictures, pioneering a new style of photography

6. REFLECTION I originally just picked this photographer because there were only so many left and the name sounded kind of familiar. However as I looked through Westons pictures and read about his life I feel very connected to him. I really like the style of black and white seemingly simple concepts he uses but somehow manages to make really complicated intricate pictures he makes. Even when he moves into the phase where he primarily does nudes they are all tasteful, not raunchy or uncomfortable. His pictures all tell stories and I have really come to appreciate that.
