1 BEHOLD, I THOUGHT  Saul felt compelled to offer sacrifice contrary to God’s Law (1 Sam. 13:8-12).  Nadab and Abihu thought it acceptable to offer strange fire on the altar (Lev. 10:1-2).  Naaman thought wrong about his cure for leprosy (2 Kgs. 5:11).  God does not think like man (Isa. 55:6-11).  Must listen to God, not man (Jer. 10:23; Prov. 3:5-8).

2 God Says -- We Can Understand His Word “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Eph. 5:17). “How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery, as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ” (Eph. 3:3-4). “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). Commanded To Understand Understand When We Read Requires Study, Effort

3 God Says -- Baptism Is Essential To Salvation "He who believes and is baptized will be saved…” (Mark 16:16). “There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism…”(1 Pet. 3:21). “Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’” (Acts 2:38). “And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16). “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life….But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness” (Rom. 6:3-4, 17-18).

4 God Says, But I Thought… Man Can Understand His Word – Eph. 3:3-4; 5:17; 2 Tim. 2:15 Baptism Is Essential To Salvation – Mk. 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21 There Is Only One Church – Matt. 16:18; Eph. 4:4 Kingdom Is Here – Matt. 4:17, 23; 16:18-19; Mk. 9:1; Col. 1:13 Observe Lord’s Supper On 1 st Day of Every Week – Acts 20:7 Sing In Our Worship Services – Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16-17; Jn. 4:24 Earth Created In 6 Literal Days – Gen. 1; Ex. 20:11; Ps. 33:6-9 Jesus Was God While On The Earth – Matt. 1:23; Acts 20:28
