PROFESSIONAL DRESS
2
Tips for Professional Wear Just below the collarbone is enough skin to show, no more than a couple inches. Never show cleavage in a professional setting. Skirt length – at the knee or only slightly above it. (Most AHS skirts are too short for professional dress.)
3
Avoid busy prints and bright, loud colors Avoid clunky jewelry. A fitted look is better than blousy.
4
Tips for Professional Dress Words to keep in mind while selecting your outfit: conservative, modest, timeless, simplistic. Good colors: black, gray, navy, brown Accent colors are acceptable, but should be understated.

ANSWERS
22
Acceptable? No, although the skirt is a good length, she is showing too much skin for a professional presentation. The blouse is a little too busy. Open-toed shoes
23
Acceptable? Yes Great coverage on top Great skirt length Good, non flashy color Change the shoes.
24
Acceptable? Yes. Great coverage on top Good professional jacket This is really dull. You Could jazz it up little by wearing a solid color or small print blouse or by adding a scarf.
25
Appropriate for business wear? No. The color is too bright/flashy Distracting Decent suit if you change the color Good coverage on the top
26
What is the problem? Two good things: Jacket/shirt combination Fitted nicely Problem: Skirt is a little short
27
Acceptable? Almost. The jacket is fine, adds a little flare. The top is a little too low cut, and the skirt a bit short
28
Appropriate? No. Too low cut. Too shapeless or blousy
29
Appropriate? No way. The colors are distracting. Too short Too low cut Not professional at all.
30
Acceptable? No. Sleeveless is not professional The top is too low cut.
31
Appropriate? Yes – if you have a jacket or sweater to wear over it. It’s fitted, and the neckline is modest. The skirt looks good. Other colors would be fine as long as they are not too bright. For example a teal or Robin’s egg blue is good. If this were bright yellow or lime green, it might be too much.
32
Acceptable? Yes. The shirt provided good coverage. It is tucked in and is fitted. The pants are fine.
33
Appropriate? No. Sleeveless is bad Too much cleavage The layers are distracting.
34
Appropriate? No. Too short Too blousy or unfitted.
35
Acceptable? Almost. The neckline is suitable. Not too short, but don’t go any shorter. Problem: Sleeveless is not professional; A suit jacket with this would be great. Avoid open-toed shoes
36
