The founder of Buddhism Siddhartha Gautama was the founder of Buddhism. A prophecy indicated that if the child stayed at home he was destined to become a world ruler, to make sure the boy would be a great king, his father isolated him in the palace. Siddhartha finally ventured outside the palace and he wanted spend his life searching for religious truth and to end a suffering. Siddhartha Gautama is know as Buddha today.

The Location Buddhism was founded in present day Nepal, India. Buddhism was spread to China by missionaries. Buddhism was also spread through major rivers. China’s major religion is Buddhism, rarely practiced in India. Buddhism is practiced in many placed around the world, it is one of the major religions of the world.

Buddhisms Beliefs Buddhism believed in the Four Noble Truths & The Eightfold Path to enlightenment laid out the ways to live, and it encouraged personal serenity. Nirvana is the immortal stage; what all Buddhist want to achieve. Buddhist that they would reach Nirvana by following the Four Noble Truths and The Eightfold Path. Buddhism is a religion of peacefulness and harmony. Meditation is a major practice for Buddhist, Right Concentration; Middle Path.

Buddhisms Beliefs They believe that you can reach peace by letting go of negative things, for example materialistic items. Buddhists believe that human beings have the potential to become free from suffering by practicing meditation, and cultivating a lifestyle prescribed by the Buddha. Similar to the Hindus, Buddhists also believe in karma, but they don’t believe that it governs their lives. Buddhism is not a Polytheistic nor Monotheistic religion, they do not believe in a God.
