Reception @ Robert Kett ●Three classes, currently with 25 children in each class ●One teacher and one teaching assistant per class (names TBC) ●Staff plan together to ensure equal access to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum ●Children can choose to work and play inside or outside throughout the day ●Free fruit is provided for snack

Reception @ Robert Kett ●We use the Read, Write Inc phonics scheme - http://www.ruthmiskin.com/en/parents/ http://www.ruthmiskin.com/en/parents/ ●‘Tapestry’ is used to collate observations and can be accessed by parents on- line ●Our school lunches are the best! Initially a limited choice but expands to four options

4. Transition Plans ●Mrs Trafford will visit the children in their pre-school provision to observe them at play and talk to their key workers. ●Classes will be formed with a balance of gender and age. We will try to keep children with friends from their pre-school. All the children play together outside so they soon get to know the whole year group. ●More information re: classes will be shared in mid-June. ●Tuesday 5th July @ 9.15am - meeting for parents. Children spend an hour in their new class.

5. Transition Plans ●Monday 11th July - Reception Sports activities, new children & parents invited. ●Home visits - either Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th or Friday 15th July ●The children will attend mornings only for the first week, starting on either Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th or Wednesday 7th September. ●Invited to stay for lunch on Friday 9th September. ●All children will be full time from Monday 12th September.
