ICEC World Congress 2014 Proposal of the AICE – the Italian Association for Total Cost Management Submitted to the Meeting of the Delegates – Region II Roma, Italy – November 8.th, 2008

ICEC World Congress 2014 The World Congress in 2014 shall be held in Europe - Previous congresses in Europe have seldom been held in Latin countries (only Paris, 1980) It’s important to support the growing of cost management knowledge and techniques in Italy The AICE is willing to strenghten its position in Italy as well as in Europe and its relationship with other ICEC members The congress shall be in some way connected with Expo 2015 programme (Milano, Italy)

ICEC World Congress 2014 This is why the AICE puts forward the proposal to organise the 2014 congress in Milano, Italy. The congress shall be held in April or May, 2014 It shall be a three to five day congress. Most probably a three day full congress, from Monday to Wednesday plus an additional day for seminars, meeting and other activities

ICEC World Congress 2014 The AICE has been incorporated in 1978 and is member of the ICEC since then About 200 members (120 certified), 10 corporate members Certification procedure accredited by the ICEC in two different levels Procedure in progress to be chartered as professional association according to the new laws on profession

Total cost shall be 340000,00 about (today costs, excluding Thursday activities) plus VAT The cost shall be covered as follows: – Registration (500 people at 500 € - 250000 €) – Sponsorship (100000 €) – Exhibition (10 stands at 7000 €/each) BEP with attendance 340 people

ICEC World Congress 2014 Main partner: Bocconi University – Management School (SDA) The AICE is aiming at promoting the body of knowledge of the total cost management as accredited by the ICEC. Bocconi school of management is the better way to attain this goal.

SDA Bocconi Project Management Group SDA Bocconi Project Management Group wants to increase links with international associations promoting worldwide Project Management knowledge sharing. SDA Bocconi PM Group SDA Bocconi PM Group is willing to improve its domestic and international visibility as a collector and a provider of Project Management knowledge. SDA Bocconi PM Group SDA Bocconi PM Group is interested in including international standards and know-how in its PM training. ICEC Body of Knowledge, particularly for planning and control activities of engineering and physical-based projects, is one of the most diffused. AICE has been collaborating with Bocconi University Total Cost Management AICE has been collaborating with Bocconi University since early ’90 in executive training of Total Cost Management (now executive education has been totally transferred to SDA Bocconi). Developing International Certifications Developing International Certifications is important for PM knowledge spreading (AICE’s program is, currently, the only program holding the ICEC accreditation in Italy).
