1. Pesticide Use Web Mapping Application Joanna Nishimura Fall 2014

2. Purpose: To create a web mapping application that allows the user to calculate the amount of pesticides that were applied in a geographic area. The mapping application will include a geoprocessing tool that (1) allows the user to draw a polygon on a map, (2) allows the user to specify the parameters for and run a buffer on the drawn polygon, (3) selects sections that intersect the buffer zone, and (4) outputs the total pounds of pesticide that were applied in those selected sections.
