6 Classified Salary Schedule Placement The total number of years employed at state institutions of higher education and other agencies of state government in West Virginia. 13 Seniority for Recall Purposes for Classified Positions Any employee laid off during a furlough, reduction in workforce or through displacement, will be placed on a preferred recall list and recalled to employment on the basis of seniority for one calendar year. 14 Retirement Eligibility PEIA follows the State Teachers Retirement System eligibility rules: PEIA follows the State Teachers Retirement System eligibility rules:  YOS service credit based on total years at WVU, other acceptable service such as WV State service, and military service.  Military service cannot equal more than 25% of total WV service.  Nine months contract in a fiscal year credited as one year  Temporary or < FTR employment does not count  Time off payroll does not count
