The clavicle is better known as the collar bone. It is joined to the sternum or breast bone at the front. It is joined to the scapula at the other end.

The scapula is commonly known as the shoulder blade. There are two, situated on the upper back, on top of the rib cage. They are attached by muscle, so are free-moving.
