Crafting Digital Writing "The idea is that we must be deliberate in what we type when we post to social networks, how we frame a photograph, how we edit video, or any other number of choices that affect the composition of our texts" (Hicks, 2013, p.20). "Before we share a link, make a comment, post a photo, or otherwise contribute something to the digital ether, we need to think about that action with intention. We need to think like digital writers" (Hicks, 2013, p. 33)

Student Reflections “I learned how to be more creative in my writing. It was a lot of hard work, but seeing the finished project made the whole process worth it.” “I thought that once we had our idea we could just hurry and do it. But the project actually took a lot of thought.” “I plan on finishing the full story throughout the school year, as well as revising it all on my free time.” “The project was quite the journey for me” “I thought it was interesting to try and compose music, because it was something I have never done” “There’s so much you have to take into account.” “This project is completely out of my comfort zone.”
