Peace Crane

How to Make a Peace Crane: Step 1: Turn one square around to look like a diamond

Step 2: Fold it in half from top to bottom:

Step 3: Fold the paper in half from left to right.

Step 4: Lift the top half up along the middle fold line. Open out the paper and press it down neatly into a diamond.

Step5: Turn the paper over and make the same fold on the other side.

Step 6: Fold and unfold the lower (open) sloping edges and the top point as shown. Make sure the open side is at the bottom!!!

Step 7: Pinch and lift the front flap of the paper

Step 7: Continue to lift the flap so its edges meet in the middle.

Step 7: Press the paper flat to make it diamond shaped

Step 8: Turn the paper over and repeat the fold on the other side. 1 2 3 4

Step 9: Fold the lower sloping edges over so they lie along the middle line.

Step 10: Repeat on the other side

Step 11: Inside reverse fold the bottom point

Step 12: Inside reverse fold the remaining bottom point

Step 13: Inside reverse fold the tip of one of the point to make the head and the beak

Step 14: bend the wings down and apart

Step 15: Flatten and puff out center, and you have a completed crane!

For extra detail, try folding each of the triangles in half again.
