Graduation Requirements What DO I NEED?!?!?!?!?! COURSE OFFERINGS A REQUIREMENT OF 25 INTERESTED STUDENTS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO OFFER A COURSE IN THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR. THEREFORE, SOME COURSES IN THE COURSE SELECTION GUIDE MAY NOT BE OFFERED. EXCEPTIONS MAY BE MADE BY THE BUILDING PRINCIPAL.

**Complete and submit signed course selection form. **Students should select at least 3 alternative courses **Changes to the course requests will be accepted until July 1. **Schedules mailed in August. REQUESTING COURSES

**Final Schedule will be mailed in August. **Changes will only be made in the events of Conflicts or Missing Courses—(Set up appointment with your counselor prior to the beginning of the school year.) Why is this?... Balancing classes, the ability to offer courses, appropriate use of teacher resources and fairness to other students Please take time and consideration when choosing your classes! SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIOR YEAR ** Cooperative Education (Y.E.S.)/Work Release ** Mentor Programs (during the school day) HACC—CNA program, Empire Beauty School, Hanover Police mentoring program ** After school Mentor Programs Accounting, Architecture, Arts, Culinary, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Legal Applications for all of these programs can be obtained in the career center in May. Listen for morning announcements.

9 TH GRADE **Select courses in the college preparatory track. **Take a world language. **Get involved in school activities that develop leadership skills. **Read at least one unassigned book each month. Avid readers tend to do better in high school. **Realize that calculation of grade point average and class rank begins in ninth grade! **Use Choices Planner to explore careers and post-secondary training and education. **Meet with your school counselor
