8  Socialization: The process of learning interpersonal and communication skills that are in conformity with the values of one's society.  Agents of socialization/civilization: The people, groups, agencies, and institutions that help shape our ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviour.

10  The agents of socialization are in no particular order.  The influence of the agents of socialization are different for each of us.  Institutions are the specific representatives of the agents of socialization. Ex. SHS – Education, Parents/caregivers – Family...

11  Rank each of the agents of civilization from one to six in order of their importance in your life.  How do each one of these influence your personal ideas, thoughts, beliefs and behaviour?

12  Does this mean there are different agents of socialization in different places? What if those places are in the same society? Would the rules have to be different for people who have shown they cannot follow the rules?
