JEANETTE SALGADO My name is Jeanette Salgado I currently have my bachelors in social sciences and I am working on my Mater. My experiences as an instructor is very minimal. However, I am currently employed by the county of Riverside as an eligible technician for the CalFresh department also know as SNAP. In this position it made me see that my real passion in life is helping families, better themselves.

The position that I am applying for is Instructor for the welfare department. I believe that with the right guide we can help families improve their life and their families. I have the ability work with people and become their mentor by showing them different ways of presenting themselves for an interview to preparing their resume. All good traits to learned when looking for a better job.

“Make no judgments where you have no compassion.” – Anne McCaffrey This quote is about why are we going to take the time to judge something when we don’t care of them. In other words why are you going to judge a child with out caring about them, taking the time to learned about them.
5
Knowing that the assessments we have our children take are for a reason, there is no point for them to take an assessment if its not going to help them or hurt them. If they don’t need to take why take the time off, from something that they are going to need.

STRATEGY Show examples of what you teach in order to Clarifying, understanding and promote students to share. Use classroom discussions, to practice what they learned. Providing feedback. Point out 2 good things out and one bad thing. Use students as a tool to help each other. They will help teach other classmates and help them be an expert at the subject. Use RED, YELLOW AND GREEN Teach students to be responsible. Try to figure it out on their own, if they are not able ask for help from other students.

TRADITIONAL VS BACKWARD Traditional is a lesson plan created by teachers on their first year of teaching, the never change it. Backward teaching is adapted every year to children learning. Traditional is focus 100% of time on text books, for worksheets, examples and assessments. Backward is related more to students life, professors create example, worksheets and assessments Traditional has a goal of having children learned answers in order for them to pass exams Backward expect them to learned, and adapt what they learned to daily lives. Backward teachers gets feedback from students.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD BACKWARD TEACHING A good backward teaching has to have a clear object, be clear and easy to follow. Has a desire result My example is with 1 st graders being that they are so small we need to make sure its really clear. Have examples for the to try along the way show them at first to draw the roles of 10 in order to get to the answer faster, then little by little take the objects away from them and they will understand how to count to ten with out of problem. Related it to them, make them thing that they are counting candy’s, apples, grapes, real every day objects.
