Reflections – Impact on students Learning styles: Affect students’ learning styles, more exposure to the language but may cause confusion, e.g. use of term “fire-fighter” of “fireman” in the digital resources confuse some students Jumbled sentence game: Colour may be a distracter to students in selecting the answer Enhancement of learning Reuse of resources: Some students cannot remember the job names and job duties → Show the same PowerPoint at different stages of teaching to revise the vocabularyPowerPoint The game they play in the lesson, they can do it at home again Cooperative Learning: Students can work out the way to do Group work: Different ways of grouping can help, mixed ability groups will take turns to work, same level grouping compete among themselves

15. Reflections – Impact on teachers Difficulties: Technical problem: The NETbook can’t access to the Internet in the classroom. All materials need to be download in advance. Not all resources operate properly in all computers. Management: Students only concentrate on the work for a short period of time Discipline problem: students are too excited to work on the computer It is difficult to link from one task to another after using the e-learning resources. Do not use blog in final writing because do not want students to copy the writing to the blog. Only use the right technology for the right task not only use technology due to technology Benefits: Learn how to choose resources to suit students’ need A kind of professional development for teachers, the use of IT in class Teachers work closely when teaching this unit
