CFOA’s Strategic Aims Lead and firmly influence the future direction of the UK FRS on professional, managerial and leadership issues Focal point for professional advice that drives and contributes to the development of policy impacting upon the UK FRS Effectively communicate views and priorities Support members to achieve individual and collective improvement

How does CFOA work? CFOA members elect a Board to act on their behalf: –Presidential Team (3) –Strategic Directors (4) –Co-opted Directors (up to 4) The Board meets 6 – 7 times a year Aims to support and guide the UK fire and rescue service as a whole Receives input from National Workstreams / Committees CFOA HQ staff support the Association, the Board and the national programme of work

What do CFOA HQ do? Manage CFOA and its associated businesses Support the Board, Directors and over 50 national workstreams & numerous Practitioner Forums Provide Secretariat services to –20 national boards, committees –Practitioners Forum –Arson Control Forum Co-ordinate national FRS seminars and events Provide access to a range of information, services and tools via the website Continually adapt and develop services to meet the changing needs of Members and the UK FRS
