Key facts: Student finance in 2012 No up-front fees Loan for fees is not means tested Repayments only start when you earn £21,000 a year Example, salary of £25k pa weekly repayment of less than £7 Loan balance is written off after 30 years Fees and financial support

Living costs options: Living cost grant (maintenance grant) Grant not loan – no repayment Means tested Living cost loan Available to everyone Limits to how much you can borrow Repaid in same way as tuition fee loan Fees and financial support

Key points: Our fees and financial support We want to maintain and improve the education we offer We want to ensure Leeds is accessible We need to offset the 80% cuts to government funding We will: Invest in outreach and financial support and this will rise to £16m a year 1 in 3 students are expected to benefit from financial support Undergraduate UK and EU fee for 2012 is £9,000 Fees and financial support

Our package How it works: No separate application needed Leeds support is all non-repayable Awards available to students with a household income of up to £42,600 Maximum level of support is £6k in year 1 and £3k year 2 onwards The student chooses how to take this support: Bursary (cash)* Partial tuition fee waiver Discount on University-owned accommodation
