Tuesday 22 nd July Depart from Nottingham Eat packed dinner on coach, arrive at Ilam Hall, go to rooms and make beds! Rehearsal followed by outdoor activity SLEEP!!!

Friday 25 th July Breakfast Pack coach – drive to cavern Lunch Performance – Treak Cliff Cavern Pack coach – drive to Castleton Free time – Castleton Performance – Castleton Arrive back in Nottingham approx 8pm Unpack equipment

When students have free time to explore the area we are in, we operate a ‘Buddy’ system: Students stay in groups of three or more and must not separate, staff members will be available at a central meeting point.

Concert dress for the tour will consist of: Music School t-shirt & whatever is suitable for the weather (If you don’t have a music school T-shirt – see Janet Wallace or contact via janet.wallace@collegest.org.uk)

You need to be prepared with appropriate clothing for typical summer time weather! The Peak District can be can get very hot and very wet in the summer. * Light weight water-proof coat and a warm layer * Suitable clothing/head wear for hot weather * Sun Cream * Comfortable shoes for walking up and down steep hills (not flip flops!) Ilam can also be muddy and the caves can be slippery. * Towel & soap * Night wear * Spare reeds/strings etc. * Medication

MONEY Most meals are provided; you will need money to buy dinner/a snack on the way home on Friday night. Otherwise, you will only need money for any extra drinks, snacks, or souvenirs you want. Please do not bring large amounts of money as you will need to be responsible for this at all times. PERSONAL POSSESSIONS Tour members will be responsible for their own personal possessions. Tour members are strongly advised not to bring expensive electronic equipment such as Game Boys/I Pods or PSP’s etc. There is very limited signal for mobile phones as the hostel is in the middle of a valley with hills on every side. There is a payphone to make calls! We cannot take responsibility for loss or theft of these items.

We cannot eliminate risk, but we have undertaken the necessary steps to minimise the risk in the activities for which we are taking part in.

FIRST AID Three of the accompanying staff are First Aid qualified. If your child has any special medication/requirements please ensure that this information has been included in your OV4 form. If you have any concerns, please discuss this with one of the tour first-aiders. EMERGENCIES If an accident or incident occurs while on the visit, tour staff will inform parents or carers as soon as possible. In case of emergencies only we can be contacted on 07951 494772 or at the hostel 01335 350212. The mobile phone signal at Ilam Hall is very weak, so the hostel number is a first choice. Please ensure you have given us the correct contact information on the ‘consent form’.

Meals and drinks are provided by the Youth Hostel from Wednesday breakfast through to Friday lunchtime. You need to bring a packed tea for Tuesday evening, and a small amount of money to buy drinks/snacks on the way back on Friday afternoon/early evening. There is also a small shop for snacks at the hostel. Note: all information on dietary requirements and food allergies will be passed onto the hostel. Please make sure this information is included with the OV4 forms.

Any participants found in possession of alcohol (except for responsible use by over 18s, to be negotiated with staff) or in possession of/using drugs will be withdrawn from the tour immediately and may, in addition, be subject to laws relating to illegal drugs.
